During our recent city trip to the Bull Hotel in Bridport, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the delightful mix of character and comfort this 16th-century coaching inn offered. Our luxury room featured a sumptuous king-sized bed that felt like a cloud, and a private vintage bath that added a lovely touch of elegance. Each morning, we indulged in a varied breakfast menu that went beyond the usual options - think Eggs Benedict and freshly baked pastries, catered perfectly to our tastes. Dining was a highlight, with delicious dishes prepared using fresh local produce; my hake on a mussel volute was particularly memorable. The charming courtyard provided a relaxed atmosphere for post-dinner drinks, making it the liveliest spot in town.
